The "Out of Fashion" CD primarily features Jim's acoustic guitar and voice. The production of this CD was intentionally sparse, which aimed to feature the singer songwriter theme of the songs. The tracks "Name", "For You", and "Feel" feature the original Jim Carlson Trio: Roger Bardo (bass) and Sean McCue (drums). The final cut on the disc is the Euro Dub Jungle Re-mix of the song "Feel", which is completely out of place compared with the other arrangements on the CD, thus the ultimate 'Out of Fashion' finale.

Jim is working on his second CD, "Further Out" which will feature more of Jim's fingerstyle guitar, as well as continue the songwriting styles featured on the "Out of Fashion" CD.
